Natural, Double-Round Cabin Logs
Build a 28’ x 38’, 1,773 sq.ft. Lofted Log Home,
Hunting Cabin, Shop, or Garage.
These Eastern White Pine logs will be sawn to a uniform stack height and then hand-peeled on two sides the old fashioned way, using draw knives and muscle on the outside leaving the knots, character, and the natural surface of the log.   The logs are then stacked to air-dry for about 6-12 months.  Just prior to shipment, we will peel the logs again to give them a very fresh, clean, peeled surface.  We call this our double-peeled method.  These logs are cut to order, so please order early if you want them to be dry when you build.  The logs can be a custom order and can be adjusted according to your desired plan.  These logs would make a great home, cabin getaway, shop, garage, or barn.  The average wall thickness would be from 10" to 12", so it would be very easy to heat.
Other Options
1.  You may receive your shipment once the logs have been peeled the first time, and save an additional 8% of the initial cost.   The logs would be spaced for drying and put into bundles and shipped to your building site.
Note: single peeled logs usually have/get a good amount of pitch surfacing on the logs and may not be desirable to some people,
which why we like to double peel for a higher quality finish.
2.  If you would like your logs kiln dried, whether it be after the first or before the second peeling, please plan to add an additional 30%.
This log package includes the following wall logs and gable siding:
1,584 linear feet (1,056 sq.ft.) of 8” stack ht. natural, double-round logs in 8’ lengths with some 10’ & 12’
675 linear feet (450 sq.ft.) of 8” stack ht. matching half-log siding in 8’ lengths
