As it lays like in the first photo, this circa early 20th or late 19th century robe is about 41” tall and 47” wide. The skinniest section below the armpits is 19” wide, or 38” around. The very bottom of the robe is about 30” wide. It’s about 14” from the pit to the end of the sleeve.
Most of the robe is ivory white silk with lots of cranes, flowering trees, and a few suns. The cuffs show a landscape with urns, streams, flowers, butterflies, and bats. The inside of the robe is clean, made out of ivory white silk brocade with a flower pattern.
Overall, it’s in pretty good shape with normal flaws for an old silk piece. One of the yellow cuffs is partially separated from the robe and could be sewn back. Most of the silk thread looks great, but there are a bunch of missing pieces of the metallic thread from the cuffs and the black borders in the bottom half. There are small stains here and there, and a number (9475) written on the inside around the neck area.
