Listed here is a very fine Chinese or Manchu robe. The length would indicate it was for a Manchu woman. Finely embroidered with flower baskets and individual flowers and butterflies. Contrasting borders and small cloud collar with satin stitch embroidery of maidens in garden settings. The sleeves are unusual with a dragon and phoenix design possibly indicating use as a wedding robe or some association with a wedding ceremony .
