2004 LEWIS & CLARK COMMEMORATIVE COIN AND POUCH SET
The pouch set being offered represents one of the 10 Nations and/or Tribal Enterprises the US Mint contracted with to make pouches.  This pouch was made by M’ Naukawme of the Shawnee Nation United Remnant Band of Ohio located in
Bellefontaine, Ohio.
In 2007, an American Indian Arts and Crafts Act challenge disqualified the Shawnee Nation United Remnant Band of Ohio after pouches made by their native artisans were already in circulation.  After this disqualification, the US Mint offered a buy back program in the hope of not having pouch sets from the Shawnee Nation United Remnant Band of Ohio remaining in circulation because this Nation was not a Federally-recognized tribe thereby not allowing these pouches to be certified as native-made.
In my opinion, the US Mint's error, like any other US Mint  production mistake, increases the long term value of the Shawnee Nation United Remnant Band of Ohio over other Lewis & Clark Commemorative coin and pouch sets. Thus my asking price.
