    Description

    Listed here is a colorful pair of Chinese embroidered chair covers. Beautifully embroidered with  flower baskets and other groups of flowers and butterflies. There is a painted inscription at the top. These came from an old now out of business shop in Chinatown. I think these belonged originally to a Chinese family association or tong. The silk is separating at the very top or one of the covers. There is some soiling and a bit is stain from age and use. These could be taken apart and framed as 4 good pieces. The flower baskets are beautifully embroidered. These date to around 1900 or a bit later. Each piece is 58 x 21 inches approximately. Please ask all questions before bidding.
