Niloak Pottery 1910-24 Mission Swirl Vase Shape I 10.25 inch
The Niloak Pottery began making arts and crafts ceramics in 1910 as the Eagle Pottery Company. They are best known for the "Mission Swirl" line, a marble neriage style. Niloak also produced castware from molds, mostly planters and vases until they went bankrupt in 1947. As the premiere manufacturer of art pottery in Arkansas, vintage Niloak Pottery is highly collectible, especially to those who enjoy the mission swirl line. These pieces fit perfectly with a prairie-style decorative scheme, and the prices are average when compared to many other period potteries.
Here we have an excellent 10 1/4 inch tall Mission Swirl Flare Rim Vase Shape I with a great swirl design. A fantastic piece of prairie-style art pottery that is taller than most Niloak vases that are currently available. Great decorator piece. Outstanding vase in wonderful subtle earth-tones. Glazed inside with a sheer glaze speckled with blue.
Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. FREE from crazing. FREE of repair or restoration. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. The white spots are studio light reflections.
Authentic Niloak pottery. All images are original and un-edited.
