    Description

VTG Sheaffer Imperial 444 Fountain Pen Brushed Stainless Steel Palladium Nib MCM
This stunning vintage, mid-century modern style pen is as stylish today as when it was sold in the 1950's and 1960's.  Sleek, simple brushed stainless steel and gold-tone style, this fountain pen is sure to please the writing instrument aficionado as well as the seeker of the ultimate in design and style.
Research points to this being the Sheaffer Imperial 444 Fountain Pen in stainless steel with the signature white dot on the goldstone clasp.  A closer look at the nib indicates it is the Palladium nib. And of course, Sheaffer pens were made in the United States.
Although I am not a writing instrument collector, I can tell you this estate owner was impeccable with all his possessions and the writing instruments all clean, no signs of hard wear, or damage.  No gunked up ink either. I do not know the size of the nib or other specifications as to its inner workings.
If I didn't chew on my pens and pencils or lose them, this pen wouldn't have even made it to the pages of eBay.
When the pen is closed it measures 5-1/2" and 1/2" at its widest (approx.).
Subtle initials engraved near by clasp "M.L.E."
A real find!  Bid on it now and either keep it for yourself or tuck away until you can give it to someone special for the holidays!
Because of the price I am recommending USPS Priority as it will insure a package up to 0 and its faster (First Class slower and no insurance).
    About the Estate
From the estate of a man with Scandinavian heritage that traveled extensively throughout Europe, North America, the Pacific Islands, and Asia. He had a keen eye for great craftsmanship, artistry, and mid-century modern design aesthetic. Pieces from his estate are in either new/never used condition or have been kept in exceptional shape. This most likely would have been purchased sometime in the late 1960's or early 1970's. He was the original owner.
